Chronic wounds

A secondarily-healing wound that despite adequate therapy does not show any signs of improvement in 6-9 weeks of treatment is called a chronic wound. This definition is a result of a consensus of scientists associated in the Czech Wound Healing Society. Venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and skin ulcerations in cancer patients, and post-op wounds are considered chronic wounds.
